A trial slot can be occupied while a trial waits to start or runs. Your available compute also determines how many trials can start at once.
Five trials running for 60 seconds each on Nano use 120 compute seconds, before any additional run time. This is 0.1% of the Starter monthly allowance. Runtime rounds to 10-second blocks before the machine multiplier is applied. Queueing and image pulls do not consume compute seconds.

Run a Small machine for ten seconds and use ten compute seconds. Large consumes forty compute seconds in the same time; Nano consumes four. Runtime rounds to 10-second blocks, then applies the machine multiplier.
Compute seconds count confirmed container runtime, rounded to 10-second blocks and weighted by the machine multiplier. Queuing, provisioning, and image pulls consume nothing. Included allowance renews monthly without rollover.

Additional compute
PAYG costs €1 per 6,000 compute seconds after the included allowance and requires billing-administrator authorization. No PAYG during the 7-day trial, and exhaustion never triggers an early charge. PAYG changes and every renewal may interrupt experiments. Execution stops 3 minutes before renewal, even with allowance remaining. Resume manually after billing synchronizes and shutdown completes.

Your billing month starts when you subscribe, rather than on the first of the calendar month. Billing shows the exact period and links to Polar for invoices and plan changes. Usage reports follow UTC calendar months, so they may cover different dates.
